The Methodist Festival Choir and Orchestra
The Methodist Festival Choir (MFC) and Methodist Festival Orchestra (MFO) offer a platform for passionate singers and musicians to come together in worship, fellowship, and musical excellence.
Methodist Festival Choir
A distinguished choral ensemble open to singers from Methodist and other Christian communities, the MFC is committed to enriching worship through music. With a diverse repertoire spanning classical to contemporary sacred works, the choir:
- Performs at key Methodist events, including Aldersgate, Lent, and Advent services.
- Provides a nurturing space for vocal training, musical development, and community.
- Is led by Resident Conductor Mrs. Wong Lai Foon and Artistic Director Dr. Judith Laoyan-Mosomos.
- Holds rehearsals every Tuesday, 7:30pm – 10:00pm at the Methodist Centre, 70 Barker Road.
Methodist Festival Orchestra
The Methodist Festival Orchestra is a dedicated ensemble that enhances worship through instrumental music, providing accompaniment for both choir and congregational singing.
- A dedicated ensemble enhancing worship through instrumental music.
- Open to experienced instrumentalists seeking to contribute their talents to faith-based performances.
