Rental Agreement – Terms & Conditions
By proceeding with a booking, you agree to the following terms and conditions set by the Methodist School of Music (MSM)
MSM reserves the right to prioritize the premise for school events and would inform the applicant of any changes with 1-week prior notice.
MSM provides the use of existing equipment as fitted within the room such as projector, projector screens & basic sound system, tables and chairs. Any additional equipment must be provided by the “Applicant” and approved by MSM.
No food & drinks are allowed in the studios and classrooms.
Applicant must clean up the area after use, reinstate the furniture back to its original position and agree to properly remove all rubbish resulting from the activities. Any additional cleaning costs will be borne by the Applicant. For additional cleaning charges, a standard rate of S$200/- will be imposed without subsidy.
Applicant is responsible for any repairs / or additional cleaning charges caused by the use of premise beyond normal circumstances. For repairs, MSM will proceed to carry out the repairs and cost will be borne by Applicant without subsidy.
Applicant must make advance payment for the rental to MSM before using the premises. School reserved the right to revoke the Rental Agreement if the outstanding payment is not settled within the seven days from the date of invoice.
Sub-letting is not allowed.
For block booking of premise, Applicant must pay rent even if the premise is not used. Rent will not be charged if Applicant informs MSM of cancellation at least 2 weeks before the rental date.
Any activities deemed illegal by authorities are strictly not allowed and MSM will refer the matter to the Police as required by law.
Applicant must familiarize themselves with the emergency evacuation route as displayed on the board at the lift lobby area.
Any act of misuse or tampering of fire protection equipment, a penalty fee of S$5,000/- will be imposed on top of any other repairs / replacement costs to the Applicant.
Applicant shall indemnify and hold harmless MSM from and against any and all liabilities, suits, claims, damages, injuries, actions, costs, or expenses of any kind or nature whatsoever due to or arising from the use of the rented premises.
Any changes or termination of this agreement has to be in writing and with 2 weeks’ notice.
