This 4-week hands-on course will guide you through the essentials for leading a choir. No experience needed.

Class Size: The class requires a minimum of 10 to start and has a maximum capacity of 20.

About the Instructors

Tham Pei Wen

Tham Pei Wen is a choral conductor and music educator who started inclusive music programmes at Pathlight School, APSN Katong School, and Voices of Singapore. She brings practical experience and a heart for helping every learner grow through music.

Dr Judith Laoyan_Mosomos

Dr Judith Laoyan-Mosomos is MSM’s Director of Worship & Church Music and conductor of the Chancel Choir at Kampong Kapor Methodist Church. Her passion for church music ministry makes her an encouraging guide for those looking to grow as a conductor.

Bedok Methodist Church Choir

Pei Wen has been conducting the Bedok Methodist Church choir for more than ten years.

Having undergone training in the Kodaly Institute in Hungary, and with many years of experience teaching primary and secondary school choirs, including children with learning disabilities. Pei Wen has helped our church choir to improve technically and musically over the years. Under her tutelage, we are better able to express the meaning and feel of each song, and the beauty of the music. Pei Wen is able to distill and communicate the technicalities of good vocal production in a way that is easily understood by the choristers, and seasons her training with much grace and fun. Our choir has indeed been privileged to benefit from her conducting and tutelage.
