Frequently Asked Questions

As MSM offers a wide variety of programmes, the fee details of each course is available on the course info page. Besides lesson fees, a one-time registration fee of $43.60 and a refundable $100 deposit applies for one-on-one music lessons and ballet lessons.

Our teachers have at least a Diploma in the instrument they teach, and many have Bachelors and Masters in Music. Our stringent teacher interview process also ensures that our teachers have what it takes to teach (and not just perform).

The ideal age of starting lessons depends on the technical demands of the instrument or art form, as well as the development of the child. While there is no simple answer to this question, sign up for a trial class today to find out whether your child is ready.

Besides in-house student recitals, MSM students may also perform in church and community events that are outside the four walls of the school.

Stories &
Testimonials

My daughter has been learning piano at MSM with Ms Chang who is very patient and encouraging.

She uses material both within and outside of the ABRSM syllabus to develop the child's skills and musicality beyond preparing for exams. We truly appreciate the school's warm and nurturing environment - the admin staff are always friendly and helpful!

Selena Heng

Mother of Gabby, piano student

I enrolled Jake into the choir not quite sure of what to expect as Jake has autism…

Jake managed to sing a little on the day of the concert and we were happy that he had fun. Surprisingly, Jake started to sing at home some of the songs that he performed at the concert a few weeks after the term ended. He could remember the lyrics even though we did not practise any of the songs after the concert. He even started to do the vocal warm-ups that Miss Jacqueline used to prepare the students to sing.

Jason Goh

Father of Jake, student of Harmony Hearts Children’s Choir

MSM provides a safe and caring atmosphere from the first day we stepped in.

We are grateful to MSM's teachers Ms. Jaqueline and Ms. Kathryn for their extraordinary care and efforts to make Ashvath learn new things about music at every class. He looks forward to every session and we are thanking God for the provision of music school arrangement for our son.

Mr Asir

Parent of Ashvath, piano student with special needs

“Children In Worship” has guided me to walk in God’s path and helped me understand His Word better.

It taught me how to sing properly and most importantly, understand what I am singing.

Sahana, 11 years old

Participant of “Children in Worship”, 2023-2024

I found Joyce (the instructor) to be very knowledgeable and passionate about piano playing.

The course content was practical and relevant, and I can definitely apply what I've learned to enhance my ministry. I especially appreciated how the course deepened my understanding of the transition from classical piano to contemporary playing. It's given me the tools and confidence to explore new musical styles in my church.
